Dani Alves has dealt Manchester City a transfer blow by revealing he has told Neymar to move to Barcelona rather than the Etihad.
The Brazilian superstar has long been linked with a move away from Santos, and as reported by talkSPORT on Tuesday, there is widespread speculation that a switch to the Nou Camp for next summer has already been all-but completed.
And Barcelona full-back Alves has announced he has been attempting to convince his fellow countryman to move to Catalunya to form a dream South American strike-force alongside Argentine Lionel Messi - rather than a switch to City.
"I've already advised him to leave Brazil," Alves told RAC1. "He would improve a lot and he would become a lot more respected. I really wish I could get to see him play alongside Messi."
