Juventus step up chase for Dortmund striker

Juventus are set to step up their interest in Manchester United target Robert Lewandowski after reports in Italy claim their sporting director will watch him in action for Poland against England.

Lewandowski has been chased by a number of top European clubs after scoring 30 goals last season which helped Borussia Dortmund win the league and cup double.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been strongly linked with a move for the 24-year-old but he will need to move quickly if he is to bring him to Old Trafford.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is set to fly out to Warsaw on Tuesday night and see the striker in action.

The Polish striker appears to be one of the major targets for the Italian champions when the transfer window re-opens in January and if he impresses Paratici, they could even make a move in the near future.
