AC Milan have joined Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna, according to sources in Italy.
Ogbonna, who recently admitted that he was flattered by interest from Liverpool, has emerged as the most sought-after defender in Italy in recent months.
The 24-year-old, who was part of national team coach Cesare Prandelli's Euro 2012 squad, is being tracked by several clubs across Europe and Milan are the latest team to register their interest.
Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has presided over a shaky start to the season - his side currently lie in 11th place in Serie A after losing four of their opening seven fixtures - and he is keen to strengthen his defence.
And Allegri could now concentrate his efforts on trying to lure Ogbonna to the San Siro, although he will have to fend off interest from several domestic rivals and United and Liverpool to land his man.
