Teen sensation Bruno Gomes says he is desperate to make his move to Manchester United official - and has already set his sights on becoming an Old Trafford legend.
The 16-year-old striker, part of the Desportivo Brasil academy side, has been training at United recently in preparation for a switch to England.
He is top scorer in the Sao Paulo Under-17 State Championship this season and numerous scouts have tracked him, but United are in pole position, with their partnership with Desportivo appearing to have sealed the deal.
Under the terms of the agreement, United trial players they have spotted in the academy side in Sao Paulo - which is operated by the renowned Traffic agency. Then, providing they are up to standard, they will make the move to Europe once they are legally old enough.
And Gomes, formerly of Corinthians - one of Brazil legend Ronaldo's former clubs - has lofty ambitions ahead of his proposed move to United.
He told oldtraffordbr.com: "My goal is to become top scorer in the league, being the first Brazilian to do so, while also to be English champion and to win the Champions League."
Speaking about his recent meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson, Gomes added: "It was nice. He is a legend in Manchester, where everybody respects him and to be close to him was great.
"In fact, he only asked about my position and if I spoke English. Then he talked with the club representative who took me to Manchester."
