Chelsea target Mehdi Benatia is now on the radar of Spanish giants Barcelona, according to reports in Italy.
The Udinese defender has been identified by both clubs as a man who could help shore up their leaky defences.
Barca are currently without their injured centre-back pairing of Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique and they conceded four in their last league outing and one against Celtic in Tuesday night's Champions League game.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are also demonstrating defensive frailties after conceding four in their last two Champions League matches - putting their attempts at being the first side to ever defend the title in peril.
Moroccan Benatia, 25, has played seven times in Serie A this season and is also attracting the attention of AC Milan and Juventus.
Udinese value the player, who is under contract until June 2017, at around £12m.
