Lazio are preparing to offer midfielder Senad Lulic a new deal as they look to ward off interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
talkSPORT revealed earlier this month the European champions identified the 26-year-old as a target.
However, Bayern Munich have also monitored the Bosnian in recent weeks, with boss Jupp Heynckes weighing up a January move as he bids to beat the Blues to the midfielder's signature.
But Lazio, who are currently third in Serie A and harbouring ambitions of securing their first league crown since 2000, are desperate to retain Lulic.
His existing deal may have a while to run - it ends in 2016 - but the club are so keen on keeping him, they plan to add another year with a pay-rise in the offing.
