Fulham pursue Molde defender

Fulham are keen on signing FK Molde defender Vegard Forren and could move for him in January.

The central defender was part of the Molde side that clinched a second successive Norwegian league title on Sunday.

His performances in the country's top flight have alerted a string of scouts, with Everton among those interested in the 24-year-old.

Molde are managed by Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has masterminded the club's rise in recent years.

They had never won the title in their 100-year history before Solskjaer arrived but since then, they have bagged two in a row.

But Solskjaer faces a fight to keep hold of his Molde stars, with clubs across Europe interested in them following their victorious league campaign.
