Manchester United are battling it out with Inter Milan and Juventus to land Colombia starlet Juan Fernando Quintero.
Quintero, who is currently on loan at Serie A side Pescara from Atletico Nacional, made his senior bow for his national side last month in a 3-0 win against Cameroon.
The 19-year-old has featured in all but one of Pescara's 12 league matches this term and is thought to be attracting interest from across Europe.
He has been tipped for big things - in his home country he has been dubbed 'La Nueva Promesa', which translates as 'The New Promise'.
Sources in Italy claim United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has sent scouts to monitor the diminutive midfielder, who stands at just 5"7, while Inter and Juventus are also keeping tabs on his progress.
