Newcastle face losing out on top transfer target as Juventus join chase

Newcastle could miss out on top target Mathieu Debuchy as Juventus are ready to enter the race to sign him.

Juventus wanted to land Sebastian Jung from Eintracht Frankfurt but the German club insist the right-back is going nowhere.

Their refusal to negotiate means the Serie A side have now switched their attentions to Debuchy, who has been on Newcastle's radar for over a year.

Alan Pardew is expected to go back in for the France international when the transfer window re-opens in January and Debuchy has spoken of his desire to play in the Premier League.

However, the opportunity to play for Juventus could yet scupper Newcastle's move for the Lille star.
