Aston Villa target Cyril Thereau has revealed he has been sounded out by Fiorentina - but says he is committed to current club Chievo Verona.
The 29-year-old, who has scored two goals in 13 Serie A appearances this season, came to prominence after a three-year spell in Belgium with Anderlecht and Charleroi.
His form at the latter club earned him a move to Chievo in 2010 and his displays for the lowly Serie A have led to him attracting interest from across Europe.
He says Fiorentina are keen to take him from Verona to Florence, but insists he is focused on guiding his current club, who are one point above the bottom three, up the league table.
He told Voetbalnieuws: "The Viola (Fiorentina) showed me interest and contacted my agent for information on my situation.
"My agent has revealed that there is some interest but it is still early to talk about a possible transfer.
"I have two years left on my contract here and now I'm only thinking about helping my team out of the bad position we're in."
