Chelsea have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Diego Reyes after his team Club America admitted that they will struggle to keep hold of the Mexico defender.
Reyes, who has spent his entire senior career at Club America, was part of the Mexico side that claimed gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
The defender has a string of suitors in Europe, including Atletico Madrid, Porto and Benfica, and his manager Miguel Herrera admits the 20-year-old is keen to seek pastures new.
He told Mexican station ESPN Radio Formula: "It will be very difficult to keep him here because there are many offers from Europe and he has said he wants to leave to continue his growth in Europe.
"Our idea is to keep him here until June 2013 but anything can happen. This will depend on the number of bids and the amount offered."
