Barcelona star Ibrahim Afellay wants to make his loan move to Schalke permanent - dashing the hopes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Premier League pair are huge admirers of Afellay while Tottenham have also been interested in the past.
Schalke managed to land the Dutchman on loan from Barcelona in August, after he failed to start regularly at the Nou Camp.
His move has worked out well and the Holland international - who scored in the German side's win over Arsenal in the Champions League - is ready to snub the chance of playing in England.
"I feel very comfortable at Schalke," he told Bild. "At the season's end, we'll talk about a permanent deal."
