Manchester City have been handed a transfer blow after the agent of Sampdoria starlet Pedro Obiang revealed that he is unlikely to move clubs in January.
City have tracked the 20-year-old for the best part of a year, while the Serie A quartet of Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma and Napoli are all chasing the midfielder.
Despite high levels of interest, his agent José Miguel Gonzalez says no-one has made a concrete offer for his client.
"Honestly, we have not received any calls," Gonzalez told Calciomercato.it.
"At the moment there is nothing, it is still early. A transfer in January? I do not think it is possible, it is easier in June.
"We know that several teams are following him and some scouts from England and Spain saw him [during the recent 2-2 draw] at Fiorentina, but there is nothing concrete so it is needless to name names."
Tottenham and Chelsea have also been linked with Obiang in recent months.
