Corinthians star rejects Chelsea transfer talk

    Paulinho in action for Corinthians

Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez could be forced to change his transfer targets after Paulinho indicated his desire to stay at Corinthians.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder since the summer.

Benitez, who replaced Roberto Di Matteo last month, is thought to be keen to sign a new holding player to line up alongside Ramires and had identified Paulinho as a suitable signing.

But the Corinthians star, who could be drawn to face the European champions in the Club World Cup in Japan this month, insists he is more than happy to stay at his current club.

"I am at Corinthians, but I do not know what will happen in the future," he is quoted as saying on Calciomercatonews.com.

"I have heard many rumours about offer, but I do not think I'll move from this club. My desire is to stay here."
