Sergio Ramos says he wants to spend the rest of his career at Real Madrid.

The defender has been a virtual ever-present at the Bernabeu since moving from Sevilla in 2005 but there has been speculation recently that he could be sold by Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with moves for the 26-year-old Spain international.

However, Ramos is adamant he wants to see out his playing days in the Spanish capital.

"Hopefully I can retire at Real Madrid," said Ramos at the launch of his autobiography.

"Firstly I am gratedul to (club president) Florentino Perez because he brought me to the best club in the world. I also have to thank my colleagues. I am very happy here.

"I hope the president is captain of this ship for a long time. I'm in the middle of my career, and hopefully I will have time to write another book and be remembered as a good guy."
