Arsenal and Liverpool target set to leave Spain next summer

Arsenal and Liverpool target Fernando Llorente is expected to leave Athletic Bilbao on a free transfer next summer rather than move clubs in January, according to reports in Spain.

The striker has long been linked with a move to England and is certain to leave Bilbao after failing to sign a new contract at the club.

It had been thought he would move to Juventus in January but AS claim that deal has fallen through and that Llorente will not move until the summer.

The 27-year-old Spain international could then expect to receive a hefty signing-on fee, with a number of options available to him.

And that could reignite the interest from the Premier League, with Arsenal and Liverpool both looking to improve their strike-forces.
