Manchester clubs face competition from Real Madrid for Malaga starlet

Manchester United and Manchester City face a serious fight to sign Malaga star Isco, with Real Madrid emerging as contenders to sign him.

Isco, 20, is enjoying a superb time in the Malaga side and he won La Liga's 'breakthrough talent' award last season.

His performances have not gone unnoticed either and numerous top sides across Europe are keen on him.

United and City have enquired about his availability in the past but Malaga have always maintained they will do everything they can to keep their star.

A bumper new contract that would include a minimum release clause has been mooted but Malaga now face a fight to keep the 20-year-old from Madrid.

Jose Mourinho, whose own future remains in some doubt, is a huge fan of Isco and has told the Real hierarchy he wants the Spanish schemer at the club.
