AC Milan could take Newcastle's Davide Santon back to Italy after their owner Silvio Berlusconi revealed his admiration for the full-back.
Santon, 22, joined the Tyneside club from the Italian club's fierce rivals Inter in the summer of 2011 but endured a mixed first campaign in England.
He has started all of Newcastle's 21 Premier League fixtures this term but his run in the team has coincided with the Toon's slide down the table.
His stock still remains high in Italy, though, and Berlusconi admits he is following the defender's progress.
He told Sportmediaset: "We are following about 100 young players. [Roma's Mattia] Destro and [Davide] Santon? I like both."
