Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is keen on a move to Fiorentina, according to reports in Italy.
Lampard, 34, will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season with the club unwilling to offer him a new deal.
A host of clubs from around the world are chasing the England international, with LA Galaxy, QPR, Manchester United and Lazio believed to be the front-runners for his signature.
However, it appears as though Fiorentina may have the edge over their Serie A rivals.
Sources in Italy say that the former West Ham man is fond of Florence and is keen to work under Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella, who is rapidly developing a reputation as one of the most promising young coaches in Serie A.
But Lampard's hopes of switching to the Stadio Artemio Franchi side could be scuppered by his wage demands.
