Real Madrid is the perfect place for Manchester City target Edinson Cavani to play, according to his father Luis - but he has NOT ruled out a move to England.
The striker is again the subject of intense transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Napoli, where he has hit 16 Serie A goals in 16 outings this season.
With their considerable wealth, City have been suggested as a possible buyer for the Uruguayan, who is rated at around £50m by Napoli.
But Roberto Mancini is facing stiff competition from Real Madrid, who are traditionally always in the race for the world's biggest stars.
And now Cavani's father Luis, himself a coach in Uruguay, says the Bernabeu would be the ideal destination for his son, because of the style of football Jose Mourinho's side play.He told Marca TV: "It would be the perfect team for my son. Besides, we are always watching Real Madrid.
"They are a team who, in every game, create 10 chances and that would be the perfect situation for Edi."
But Cavani senior says a switch to Real Madrid is no foregone conclusion, which will encourage Premier League champions City.
He added: "We're hoping to make the jump to a big club. Real Madrid, Barcelona or, also, an English team at the highest level."
