Porto defender nears QPR switch
QPR manager Harry Redknapp hopes to tie up the signing of Rolando by the weekend.
The Rs boss is desperate to improve his defence this month and has targeted the Porto centre-back, with Ryan Nelsen on his way out of Loftus Road.
And Redknapp has reached a breakthrough with Porto over a deal for the Portugal international.
Rolando, 27, is also keen to leave and move to England, with the switch expected to be made official in the next 48 hours.
