AZ Alkmaar youngster Adam Maher would thrive at Arsenal - according to his current boss Gertjan Verbeek.
Maher, 19, is regarded as one the most exciting prospects in the Eredivisie and has attracted firm interest from Dutch giants PSV.
However, the Eindhoven side are unwilling to match AZ's £8.5m asking price and Verbeek feels the Morocco-born Holland international would benefit under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger instead.
"I think Arsenal would be a good environment for him," he told Studio Voetbal.
"He would work with Arsene Wenger, who knows how to bring on these young talents. I think he would improve a lot there, just like Robin van Persie."
The midfielder, who made his first-team debut in December 2010, has scored five goals in 18 league outings this term.
