QPR set to rival Everton for South Korean striker

    Kim Shin-Wook

Queens Park Rangers will go head-to-head with Everton for South Korean striker Kim Shin-Wook, if they fail to land Peter Odemwingie from West Brom.

Odemwingie has had a transfer request rejected by the Baggies, who have also turned down an improved bid from QPR for the Nigerian forward.

Now Harry Redknapp could turn his attention to Shin-Wook as he bids to add some much-needed firepower to help the West Londoners fight off relegation.

Everton are already monitoring the 6ft 5in Ulsan Hyundai striker, who has scored 33 goals in four seasons in the K-League and has been dubbed the 'Korean Peter Crouch'.

But the Blues will have to move quickly to land the 24-year-old, with QPR now lining up a move.
