QPR, Everton and West Ham have received a transfer blow after Toulouse ruled out selling Etienne Capoue during the current window.
The French club recently sold Capoue’s former midfield partner Moussa Sissoko to Newcastle and have no intention of cashing in on another France international this month.
Everton have targeted him as a possible replacement for Marouane Fellaini, who is wanted by Chelsea, while QPR boss Harry Redknapp is desperate to land him after missing out on Yann M’Vila.
West Ham are also monitoring him as uncertainty continues to surround the future of Mohamed Diame, who has been strongly linked with Arsenal.
But the Premier League trio’s hopes of prising him away from Toulouse this week appear to be slim as manager Alain Casanova intimated that there is no chance he will leave.
