Former Liverpool defender Djimi Traore has undergone a trial at MLS side Seattle Sounders, according to sources in France.
The 32-year-old, who gained infamy after scoring a comical own goal against Burnley in 2005, has been a free agent since leaving Marseille last year.
The Champions League winner, who also turned out for Charlton, Portsmouth and Birmingham, linked up with Sounders at their pre-season camp ahead of a possible move to the club.
