Borussia Dortmund have caved in - and are ready to grant Robert Lewandowski permission to speak to Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
The Poland international, part of an exciting Dortmund side that won the double last season, has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
He was reportedly heading there last summer but Sir Alex Ferguson managed to land Robin van Persie instead.
His interest in Lewandowski, though, appears concrete. Despite him being blessed with an enviable array of attacking talent in Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, he still wants more.
However, news of Bayern Munich's interest has surfaced and Dortmund now appear reisgned to losing their star striker.
His contract expires in 2014, so this summer would be the final time they could command a sizeable fee for him.
Lewandowski is not expected to enter negotiations regarding a new deal - and now sources in Germany claim Dortmund have told him he can talk with other clubs.
