Real Madrid have already hatched plans to bring Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu in the summer, according to Spanish newspaper El Confidencial.
Bale has cemented his reputation as the standout player in the Premier League in recent weeks with a deluge of goals and stunning performances.
Real have already made him their No.1 summer transfer target, and club president Florentino Perez will base his forthcoming re-election campaign on bringing the Welshman to the club.
The Spanish champions are believed to have sounded out Bale's representative Jonathan Barnett and feel they will be successful with a £38m bid.
Jose Mourinho's side will part finance the deal for Bale by selling Fabio Coentrao, who was linked with Chelsea before moving to Spain in 2011.
