Rodney Marsh believes winning the FA Cup will not be enough to keep Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini in his job.
Mancini’s long-term future at the club is under threat, with City currently 12 points behind Manchester United in the Premier League and having endured a disappointing Champions League campaign.
And Marsh fears failure to secure successive titles will spell the end for the Italian – even if he leads the club to a second FA Cup win in three seasons.
The former City star told talkSPORT: “I would not sack Mancini. I think he is a terrific manager.
"I think he has got good qualities. He is a terrific football man and he's actually the current manager of the champions. I personally wouldn’t make that change.
“But I have a feeling City are going to. I have a feeling that Man City will sack Roberto Mancini, even if they win the cup.”
