Juventus have lined up Southampton's record signing Gaston Ramirez as a potential replacement for Andrea Pirlo.
Southampton landed the £12m Uruguayan ahead of the likes of Inter Milan and Liverpool in one of the coups of the summer.
But the forward has so far failed to live up to the hype in a debut season disrupted by injury.
Inter, as well as Fiorentina, have monitored his career in the Premier League closely and he has been linked extensively with a move back to Serie A.
And now reports in Italy have claimed that champions Juve are also considering a bid.
Although Ramirez has been used mainly as a striker, it has been reported that Juve reckon the 22-year-old could be a long-term successor for deep-lying playmaker Andrea Pirlo, who is now 33.
