Arsenal have been put on red alert after Younes Belhanda revealed he is ready to leave Montpellier and challenge for major silverware.
Belhanda, who turned 23 today [Monday], has been strongly linked with a move to the north London club after emerging as one of the best young stars in the French league.
Arsene Wenger is keen to strengthen his squad at the end of the season and is ready to make his move for the Moroccan playmaker.
Belhanda was named France's young player of the year last season and has also attracted interest from Inter Milan and Fenerbahce.
The talented midfielder admits he is ready to play at a higher level and wants to prove he can compete against the best clubs in Europe.
Belhanda, speaking on French television station Canal Plus, said: "My dream is to play for a Champions League club.
"I am a born competitor and in countries like England, Spain and Italy, there are big clubs that I would like to play one day."
