Tottenham set sights on Real Sociedad winger as Bale replacement

Tottenham are preparing for life without Gareth Bale by readying a bid for Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in Spain.

Andre Villas-Boas faces a huge summer battle to keep Bale at White Hart Lane, with Spanish giants Real Madrid thought to be particularly keen to sign the Welshman.

But Bale would command a huge fee - possibly in excess of £50m - and Tottenham would be able to make a major impact on the summer transfer market if the winger did leave.

And AS claim that Spurs are watching Sociedad winger Griezmann as a potential replacement.

The 21-year-old Frenchman is building an impressive reputation in Spain, where he has scored five league goals so far this season, and would be available for around £8m in the summer.
