Atletico Madrid are readying a summer bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to sources in Spain.
The La Liga side expect the free-scoring Radamel Falcao, who has been heavily linked with Chelsea and Manchester City, to depart in the summer and they are already scouring the market for his replacement.
Atletico have two names in mind to succeed the Colombian, with Hernandez and Porto hitman Jackson Martinez top of their list.
Hernandez, 24, is Atletico's preferred choice and they believe a bid in the region of £15m would be enough to prise him away from Old Trafford.
The Mexico international has managed just six league starts this term - fewer than Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck - and could be lured by the prospect of regular first-team football elsewhere.
