West Ham face battle to sign Juventus star

West Ham are locked in a battle with Wolfsburg and Fenerbahce to clinch the signing of Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella.

The 30-year-old has a wealth of experience in Serie A, having played for Sampdoria, Udinese and Napoli.

Quagliarella looks set to leave the Italian giants during the summer and there is no shortage of clubs wanting to sign him.

Uncertainty surrounds the long-term future of Andy Carroll who looks set to head back to Liverpool following his season long loan move at Upton Park.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce will be keen to bring a proven goalscorer to the club during the summer.

But he will have to move fast if he wants to sign Quagliarella as reports in Italy claim both Wolfsburg and Fenerbahce are also wanting to sign him.
