Arsenal and Liverpool in fight for Fiorentina star

Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter Milan are set to fight it out for Fiorentina star Juan Manuel Vargas, according to reports in Italy.

The Peruvian has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League and has reportedly been told he can leave Florence in January if his club receive a bid of more than £10m.

That has alerted both Arsenal and Liverpool, who have long-standing interest in the player, but Inter are also said to be weighing up a move as they bid to kick-start their season.

And Fiorentina are likely to encourage a bidding war for the attacking midfielder, who can also play on the left wing or at left-back.
