Arsenal are lining up another raid on Spain - for Alcoyano youngster Lucas Torro.
The Gunners sold Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona for £35m, having poached him from their youth academy when he was a teenager.
And they also completed moves for Spanish teenagers Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin from Barca last year.
Now they are ready to join Real Madrid in the race for the latest teenage sensation Torro - and hope to land him with a swap deal for Wellington.
Midfielder Torro, 17, has been earmarked as a future star and made his debut for Alcoyano as a late substitute in their draw against Almeria earlier this month,
But Segunda Division side Alcoyano, who are based in Valencia, have a link with the La Liga giants from the same city. As such, Valencia are understood to have first refusal on any of Alcoyano's youngsters, according to reports in Spain.
But Spanish news agency EFE has claimed that the club's president Juan Serrano has confirmed Arsenal's interest in Torro.
The Premier League club have been in negotiations with Alcoyano about young forward Wellington, who has moved to the Spanish side on loan, and are now set to continue talks over Torro.
