Tottenham first-team coach Joe Jordan has not ruled out the possibility of the club signing a big-name player before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night.
The north London club have become renowned for pulling off a last minute deal. Rafael Van Der Vaart made a shock move to White Hart Lane back in 2010, just minutes before the window closed.
Tottenham have been linked with moves for Christopher Samba, Junior Hoilett and Loic Remy.
And, although Jordan maintained that no deals were in the pipeline, he refused to rule out a new signing arriving at White Hart Lane.
Jordan said: "In the past Tottenham have made a late purchase once or twice so there is always a possibility but I heard of nothing this morning. There are no Spurs players in discussions or in transit."
