Man United target could head to Russia

Manchester United target Xherdan Shaqiri is still wanted by Zenit St Petersburg, according to reports in Russia.

Basel are desperate to keep hold of the 20-year-old, who has been linked with clubs from all over Europe due to his scintillating displays for both club and country.

But with the Russian transfer window open until later this month, Zenit hope to prise the Swiss star away for a fee of around £15m.

And they will start the bidding at around £10m later this week, according to Russian newspaper Sport RU.
