Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is at the top Real Madrid's wish-list should they lose Gonzalo Higuain.

The current Madrid forward has started just eight La Liga games this season and has been tipped to leave The Galacticos, with reports in Spain suggesting Chelsea bid for him in January and could return for him in the summer.

While City's billions mean they would never have to sell, as has been proven with Carlos Tevez's prolonged stay at the club, the lure of returning to Spain and playing at The Bernabeu could tempt Aguero to consider his future.

Marca, the Spanish media group closely affiliated with Real Madrid, says Aguero is their top-target and Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Llorente, a long-term Tottenham interest before he suffered a serious knee injury that he has recently returned from, is their second choice.
