Man City leading the chase for Torino defender

Manchester City are leading the chase to sign Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna, according to reports in Italy.

Roberto Mancini is keen to bolster his backline and bring in another central defender.

Ogbonna, 23, is rated one of the best young defenders in Serie B and has also attracted interest from AC Milan.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that Manchester City have already opened talks with Torino over a possible move for the Italian international.

Ogbonna admits he is flattered to be linked with a move to AC Milan but says he would love the chance to showcase his talents in England.

Ogbonna said: "Milan is a great club for me, but I love English football and the experience of playing there would be fantastic."
