Fiorentina have turned down an initial £21m bid from Chelsea for Stevan Jovetic, according to reports in Italy.
The west London club is on a long list of sides currently interested in the prolific forward, who insists he is happy where he is.
But it has now been reported that Chelsea have made the first move and lodged a formal £21m offer for Jovetic - which Fiorentina wasted no time in rejecting,
The 22-year-old is the Serie A side's most important player having scored 12 of their 23 Serie A goals in just 17 appearances this season.
And Vincenzo Guerini, Fiorentina's sporting director, has now told any potential suitors that Jovetic will not be sold on the cheap.
He told Radio CRC: "We want to build the team around him, but today the word untransferable doesn't exist. If an indecent proposal were made, and it is possible that one will arrive, then we would take that into consideration."
