Manchester United and Manchester City are set to battle it out for the signature of Derby wonderkid Will Hughes.
The 16-year-old midfielder starred for England in an Under-17 tournament in Portugal, leading both Sir Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini to turn their attention to acquiring his services.
And now both Manchester sides are now hastily putting together competitive packages to convince Hughes that his future belongs at their club.
Hughes has made just one substitute for the Rams’ first-team but is expected to follow in the footsteps of fellow academy player Mason Bennett who has broken into Nigel Clough’s squad this season.
