Montolivo set for AC Milan move

Arsenal and Manchester United appear to have missed out on the signing of Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo after reports in Italy suggested he is on the verge of joining AC Milan.

Montolivo is expected to leave Fiorentina during the summer as a free agent after failing to agree a new contract with the club.

Both Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson have been strongly linked with a move for the Italian midfielder who has been one of the star performers for Fiorentina in recent years.

But Florence-based radio station Lady Radio are claiming that the 27-year-old star has finalised negotiations with Milan and is set to sign a four-year deal with the Italian giants.
