Arsenal will face double trouble when AC Milan visit in the Champions League next week when the Italian club will seek to knock them out of the competition and sign celebrated captain Robin Van Persie.
The Dutchman was in the side that was humiliated 4-0 in the San Siro last week, and Arsenal's abject performance has given Milan encouraging signs that the striker would be interested in a change of scenery.
Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claims Milan president Adriano Galliani will visit the Emirates with his side on March 6 where he will offer Arsenal around £30m for their goalscoring skipper.
The Holland star is in the final 18 months of his contract at Arsene Wenger's side, and despite enjoying his most prolific year to date, the Gunners are facing the stark possibility of a seventh season without silverware.
Milan's Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, who played a part in shackling Van Persie last week, has encouraged his club to land Arsenal's prize possession.
"He is a champion and all champions are welcome at AC Milan. He is a player who can bring many things to a team," Silva said. "Defences have a real problem in trying to stop him and it really is a pleasure to watch him play."
