Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is wanted by mega-rich Paris Saint Germain, the club's president has revealed.
Billionaire Nasser Al-Khelafi, the chairman of Qatar Sports Investment, has already shelled out on a clutch of high-profile stars as PSG attempt to reinstate themselves as a major force in European football.
And he has now admitted that the club could be about to launch a bid for Liverpool's star striker, just over a year since he arrived on Merseyside.
Suarez has already had a rollercoaster career in the Premier League, with 10 goals in 34 appearances but also an eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra.
And PSG could be about to offer him a fresh start when they start more ambitious rebuilding plans in the summer.
Al-Khelafi, speaking to French magazine ExtraTime, said: "We are already looking at the market for next season.
"We have clear targets in mind. It is true that we want Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain.
"Our real short-term targets are to win the Champions League and find a new Messi."
