Spartak Moscow believe their terms offered to Steven Defour will be enough to entice him away from the Premier League.
The Russian club are in discussions with Standard Liege regarding a move for the midfielder and, so far this summer, they are the only side to make official contact.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Ajax have expressed an interest in the past but talkSPORT understands the trio have gone cool on a move this summer.
Defour broke his foot in 2009 and has suffered niggling injuries since then - and Sir Alex Ferguson once sent the Belgium international a letter to keep his spirits up as he battled back from injury.
United, among other clubs, are said to be keen on watching Defour for a further season at least before pressing ahead with a move but their indecision has let in Spartak.
talkSPORT understands Defour would prefer to move to England but Spartak have put together a lucrative financial package that may entice him to move there.
