• Stuttgart star eyeing January move to Arsenal

Serdar Tasci in action for Stuttgart

Serdar Tasci has not given up on a dream move to Arsenal in January.

The Germany defender was a summer target for the Gunners and north London rivals Tottenham, but Arsene Wenger was put off by Stuttgart's £10m pricetag.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger instead signed Lorient defender Laurent Koscielny and Sebastien Squillaci from Spanish side Sevilla.

But highly rated Tasci, 23, is still hoping to attract a bid from the Londoners in January and his representatives have made it known he would welcome the challenge of playing in the Premier League.

Tasci has held talks over signing a new deal at Stuttgart but is happy to wait before committing himself to the club.

And he is hoping that the Gunners will make another move for him when the transfer window re-opens.

He was named in Germany's World Cup squad and has forced his way into national coach Joachim Loew's plans.

Oh please Arsenal don't need anymore defenders.

I believe we got a strong back already.

I think a goalkeeper would be better(not that Almunia is a bad keeper)
