    Seve Ballesteros dies aged 54

    Five-time Major winner Seve Ballesteros has died aged 54.

    The Spaniard passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Pedrena, Spain, around 2:30am Saturday morning.

    Ballesteros was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008 and has been fighting the disease ever since.

    Tributes have flooded in for the former Open winner including Tiger Woods who said:

    "Seve was the most creative player to have ever played the game, I've never seen anyone who's had a better short game as him.

    "I was lucky enough to watch him hitting shot after shot after shot and explain why he did it and how he did it

    "He was just phenomenal and to see the creativity, it was just genius."
