Mark Foster has told talkSPORT he expects Britain’s swimming team to have their best ever Olympics in London next year.

The six-time former world champion and five-time Olympian is predicting big things from team GB, especially the women’s team.

Foster told Hawksbee & Jacobs: “We’ve got probably got ten world class women. Go back to Olympics past and we’ve perhaps had one woman to sing about. There weren’t many.

“Now we’ve Becky Adlington, and her quest to retain her titles will be one of the highlights of the games. And Jazz Carlin is literally biting at her toes in the pool and getting ever closer to her. She could upset her.

“Then you’ve got the likes of Jo Jackson, Fran Halsall, Jemma Lowe, Gemma Spofforth, Hannah Miley. These are really exciting times on the women’s front.

“In swimming terms I think we’ll have our best Games ever.”

The London 2012 ticket application process ends at 11:59 on April 26. To avoid missing out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience, apply for tickets this week at www.tickets.london2012.com
