Andy Murray defied Roger Federer and the rain to retain the Rogers Cup in Toronto.
The British No.1 followed up his semi-final win over Rafael Nadal by beating Federer 7-5, 7-5 in difficult conditions in a match that was held up five times by rain.
Murray came from behind in both sets to claim his first title of 2010 in a little over two hours.
He said:"It's so tough to close out a match against Roger. It was incredibly difficult conditions for both of us.
The victory ended Murray's three-match losing streak against the Swiss star, and the 23-year-old Scot was delighted.
He added: "It was really tough but I came through in the end."
